Comments by Jeff Dye on Thu, 02/03/11 17:13 The grey rose posted next to yours is a good example of what I'm talking about. Comments by Sandi MacDonald on Thu, 02/03/11 19:50 Such a pretty looking bloom. They look so much like the wild roses around here. It would be nice to see more details on the petals or in the center though. Maybe your next posting will be sharper...;-) Comments by Pietro Cecchi on Fri, 02/04/11 04:13 Comments by Pietro Cecchi on Fri, 02/04/11 08:16 Comments by Pietro Cecchi on Fri, 02/04/11 08:16 Comments by Pietro Cecchi on Fri, 02/04/11 08:16 Comments by Pietro Cecchi on Fri, 02/04/11 08:17 Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Fri, 02/04/11 10:02 The closeup views of the Camellia are more interesting and appealing to me with the image filled, or nearly filled, by the blossom (particularly the second image in the comment section). There is a stronger textural component with the closer views and one has more of a sense of diving into a pool of pink blossoms when viewing the closeup views of Camellia. Comments by Jeff Dye on Fri, 02/04/11 12:13 Much better. No more ordinary, centered flowers from you :-) Comments by Sandi MacDonald on Fri, 02/04/11 13:03 That's better Pietro! Nice to see more of the details. I like the first three in the comment section the best. Lovely! Comments by Maria Salvador on Fri, 02/04/11 15:58 I like the closeups too. A pretty camellia you have, blooming at home and ready to be the subject of many photos! Comments by Sal Santostefano on Fri, 02/04/11 22:45 Pietro, the last post is the best IMO. Very different. Good job. Comments by Sal Santostefano on Fri, 02/04/11 22:50 PS: Lower your ISO and widen up ur F stop for close ups like this. Just try slowering the shutter (& use a tripod) to compensate for the ambient light. High ISO is causing lots of noise in your shots. Comments by John Long on Sat, 02/05/11 14:50 The close-ups you posted above work far better than the OP (which isn't really sharp!)
