Waterfall Prism

Taken with my 5D mkII and 70-20 f2.8L mkII last week. This is a field edit on my notebook while at the airport, and think I might have an even better comp to work on when I get back home, on a better monitor.

I like the contrast between the lightness of the rainbow colors found in the falling water set against the darkened nature of the rocks while the cascading feel of the water works well, in my mind, to carry the eyes of the viewer from the top edge to the bottom edge of the picture.

There is a dark rock in towards the upper left side of the image with a line of light water on its top edge... when the picture is cropped to just above this rock the image is enhanced for me.

This is lovely! Nice catch on the 'rainbows'.

A nice addition to typical slow shutter speed waterfall photo. Looking forward to the "better
comp" although there's nothing wrong with this one.

This is truly beautiful, Christopher. I think it would look even better if your shadow was cloned out. If that isn't your shadow I would still try cloning it out.

Interesting! Has a very abstract feel, which I like.

Interesting. Love the rainbows. Scary faces keep popping out of the rocks.

Refreshing - good shutter speed choice
