Even without the Amish buggies I would have found this image appealing... the sepia toning working together with the strong vertical lines of the barren trees but the inclusion of the buggies works to enhance the visual impact of the picture for me. I find that a black background color works well with the sepia toning and also to enhance the detailing to be found in the image.

I agree with Jan, the image itself is very beautiful, the Amish buggies are an added treat. I also love the sepia toning.

An appealing picture, enhanced by the Amish buggies - I love the effect of the toning which works very well with this picture. As a resident of the U.K., I have always been intruiged by pictures of the Amish people and lifestyle.

I will let you in on a secret, I was so engrossed in the timing of the buggy going between the trees that I never saw the second buggy until I got home and was looking at the photos. Dumb luck.
