The Window (DejaVu)
Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Wed, 10/08/08 22:39 I like this composition with its dreamlike quality. Reminds me of an accidental double exposure that I managed one summer (tried to do purposely but never succeeded) which worked to give a dreamlike quality to the finished slides. Kept more of that roll of slides than other slides I took over the years... Comments by John Wise on Wed, 10/08/08 23:19 This is cool! I love the effects of the woodland scene overlayed on to the boards. Do you have just a wall without windows? Comments by Rory Hudson on Thu, 10/09/08 00:01 This makes for an interesting montage. Comments by Marlis Steinke on Thu, 10/09/08 08:05 I like when you do this. It works really well. I can't help but be curious what the window looked like originally. Comments by Linda Frey on Thu, 10/09/08 09:47 You've created a lovely painterly look with this combination. I like being able to see the most interesting part of the window clearly, (to me, at least: the curved upper framing) while in the opposite corner, the trees dominate. Comments by Raskin, Yosef on Thu, 10/09/08 14:19 I like this image very much Comments by JP Zorn on Thu, 10/09/08 14:37 the color and design are great together. very successful all around. this image reminds me of negative overlays of the Old South by the photographer Clarence John Laughlin. he was a fantast and an extreme romanticist. Comments by Karen Habbestad on Thu, 10/09/08 17:43 I really like this.
Comments by G.B. SHETTLER on Thu, 10/09/08 18:27 Well, thank you everyone. I liked the look of this as well. I can now retire this Window in peace. And YES John I have many many all kinds of wall shots (without windows in them) and I have been keeping them for blending. I just need to win the lottery so I can ditch the sad job and devote that time to photos. Dream On Comments by Ross Thornton on Fri, 10/10/08 10:04 It's like looking out the window from the inside, as well as looking in from the outside. Comments by les perry on Fri, 10/10/08 14:54 Nice going here, wherever here is going. Comments by Richard Dong on Fri, 10/10/08 16:05 The colors work remarkably well.
