Here's the whole shed. As the snow fell, last week. Only a little photoshop trickery involved.

Not something you see to often in downtown Winnipeg and reminds me of working out in the farming suburb of Saint Norbert in my younger days. Your image (after viewing the original picture) creates the sense of the before and after images you see in the weekend comic section where you try to find the differences between each picture. I also find a cropped version of the left side of the original with the rooster vane in the upper right hand corner and the green tree in the lower left hand corner also works for me.

You turned pretty dull scene into pretty jolly one.

the OP is a great example of a minimalist approach to your subject. very nice subtle separation on the roof line. isn't it spring yet?

You are one hot photographer!
(this was months ago, right?)

Both are great, Linda.
The tilted weather vane made me smile, somehow.
: )

I love them both! The cropped version is beautiful for it simplicity. The original is beautiful
for its capture of a gorgous winter scene. The "Christmass tree" really makes it special.

Nice graphic effect. Even a bit of Slacker's white on white. ;-)

Let's see, the wind is blowing from the west which means it's a Tuesday in High Prairie...

Subtle...

In the second post the arrow points straight across. The OP has it facing to the upper rh corner. I think I would like the OP better if the arrow were as in the second post. But this is just nit picking. It is well seen and a good composition.

The one in comments is indeed very nice, with the snow fall and all.
The OP has the Wow! factor. All to like, from top to bottom!

Wonderful! Do not despair--the snow will end and the flowers will bloom! Great shot!

Teegee and others said it well for me. Hot stuff!

Real art is simplicity. Bravo ! !

Love the simplicity of the posted capture. Gives a feeling that the rooster is standing his ground - full knowing that spring is on the way.

What a great graphic look, Linda! I just love the simplicity. I guess the term is minimalistic. That tilted rooster does the trick!

No doubt as to an artist's creative image - both of them, but particularly the OP.

Nice work. I like what you did with it. The little extra "catch" of snow at the bottom of the weather vane is perfect.
