I like everything but the planter in front. Nice image.

Good exposure. Yep its too bad that you couldn't move the planter and sweep up alittle. This image is so clean and sharp the trash and the planter add a distracting element.

Hello David.
Like the others I think it's a pity for the planter. But you couldn't do anything about it. It seems to me that the lamp is a little darker than the front wall of the staircase: this is distracting from the main subject, which I think is the lamp itself. But this could be a printing or scanning problem. I like the geometry of the overall shot: very neat.

Well done! I like the geometric feel of this photograph. I wish the shadow of the lamp didn't merge with the window, but that's a minor nit.

What about cropping the planter out, I do not think your exposure would lose any of it's impact.

This image has many good elements in it. The diagonal of the staircase with it's shapely supports ties in well with the lamp's spheres and shadow. The differing views of the windows give a dynamic feel as does the interplay of the angles described by the sidewalk, the lamp to it's shadow, and the staircase.

The planter does detract somewhat from the overall image, but I don't think cropping it out would help as I think you need to have that bit of the sidewalk at the bottom to retain image's feeling of depth.
