Nice concept and a good shot to illustrate. Your use of the frame with the foot outside the main picture is particularly effective and well done. -- No suggestions as nothing needs changing

Excellent street photography, with a difference. Good PS work, too.

Ah, the purpose of the husband caught perfectly... and your composition with the foot outside the main image helps to capture and hold the attention of the viewer (no matter how many times I see this effect it always works to bring me for a closer view of the picture).

Why does (foot) fungus come to mind!? Although they are nice sandals/feet indeed.
Reminds me of Toni Lankard's work - good eye!

The long robe makes me think of the far east. Are relationships abroad between husbands and wives different than typical americans? You better believe it.

No way...The man doesn`t held the beg. Moreover why should he do it? Show us their hands.

While I agree with your title as a generalization about society :-), I think your photo doesn't really illustrate it because it is not clear who is holding the bag. Thus I agree with Luka. Youve also got a bit of blur in the woman's robe that is rather awkward to my eye.

Rory, the blur is motion blur as a reaction on the garment from the movement of her right foot, as she hurries to another booth to buy something else for him to carry. ;-)

;-) Right as it must be - she buys, he carries. And there is another detail that I find quite suggestive - she is to enter, he tries to escape! Well done, love everything about it!

Cool find. An image that evokes a lot with a minimum of elements.
I dislike the 3d frame.

Very original crop and composition. I like it as it is.
