"Springtime" in the Prairies certainly has its beauties. This one certainly is crisp.

A good textural feel created between the wooden fencing and the hoar frost. The contrast between the foreground fencing and frost covered vegetation and the muted nature of the background serves to bring a 3D feel to the picture.

Nice, cold textures. Reminds me of a barb wire fence I worked a few winters back near
Bryce. By the time I got back in car I thought I was missing my fingers.

I dunno, Greg, looks like the dancers froze right in the middle of celebrating. I like all the granularity and the whiteness that chills.

This reminds me of when I used to live in Edmonton. The frost would occasionally cover everything, I found it especially beautiful when it would bonded to the chain link fencing and you could see its crystalline nature.

I'd be so excited to see this in person! Not often that we Southern Hoosiers get such winters anymore. The combination of the hoarfrost covered weeds and the old, weathered fence is wonderful. I do think the 'dancers' are offering up their pleas to the Springtime Gods to let loose of some warmer temps, though. Even knowing it will call a melting halt to their celebrations. B-) Nice one! And..thank you for your kind comments on my own winter treeline scene, Greg.

THese are the snow warriors that just defeated the last Outpost. At a larger scale those crystal forms at the top look like they have their hands raised in their Victory Dance. Thanks Everyone !

This is a very pleasing image. Perfectly processed. Minor White would be very impressed.
Thanks for posting this.
