Winnipeg, Mb.

I was on my way back from the grocery store early one December morning when I saw this view and I just liked the light, the elements (trees and the Hotel Fort Garry) and the color. Tried a couple of these shots but I preferred this particular one with no people in it.

Over did the border... just trying some borders I found in PSP.

CS3 levels
unsharp mask

PSP salt and pepper

Nikon D90
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm
f4.2 1/40 40mm
ISO800

Taken on December 20, 2012.

Part of an inspection of the exterior of the Fort Garry Hotel.

A view of the windows at the rear of the Fort Garry Hotel. I thought there was someone standing at the window at the bottom but they have been standing there since December 2012.

That's a cool Winnipeg shot. A Steicken in color. Love it.

love the OP and the second :) the the reflective spots of snow give a
magical look.

I like the OP, but would wish for the border to be softer. The snowflakes picture is quite magical Jan!
Puzzled by the final shot which you have taken from above - is the Fort Garry next to your apartment?

The mood of the OP is nicely done with the dark upper portion and the soft glow of the
reddish light. The last one has a macabre mood with the figure of that lone person in the
dark night. It reminds me of a Hitchcock movie.

I like the windows in the dark of night, with that eerie person in the window. Spooky!

I especially like the first one and the last one...last one is really scary though.;-)

My favourite is the your second photo. With the snow falling it makes the Fort Garry Hotel very inviting.

Enjoyable series on the Fort Gary. I like the snow lit up by the flash. Is the building
being renovated? Some of the windows in the last shot show walls waiting to be
painted. The figure looks like Spider man to me.
