"Borrowed" the moon from another photo...too much?

Looks good to me, frame & hang it !

For me this image would have worked equally well without the moon but like the icing on the cake its inclusion enhances the image for me. I like the contrast in the bottom of the image between the black rocks and the white snow, the sunlight highlighted middle portion of the image with the trees and snow covered mountains standing out strongly, and the sense of peacefulness is evoked by the various elements of the setting from the rocks and snow through to the moon.

Great movement up to that moon, Steve. Beautiful Image !!

probably the moon should not be brighter than sunlit snow (on the peaks) - but it still looks pretty nice

I love the shot, but I have to agree with Paul. The moon is a little too bright, and it caught my eye and made me wonder if it was part of the original photo right away. Toned down, or made a little more golden would make it more realistic.

Steve, I think you've captured/created a fantastic picture. The brightness of the moon as it is, or less, would be fine with me. The foreground, the lighter trees in middleground, the tone, all great. Well done.

Wonderful as it is!

Exceptional foreground! Exceptional background! All around exceptional.
The moon? Just not sure! At times I wish it was not there and at times it is totally necessary.

I think if the moon was faded by about half it would look more like a morning moon.

Love the rest.

Your idea is great, but the main problem is that the shadows on the snow aren't right.
