Interesting cloud formation that works well with the greens and yellows of the foliage... reminds me of an exclamation mark with the foliage as the period... an emphatic statement that this is Fall. The picture works well with a grey background page color.

Unusual cloud formation, enhanced by the autumn colours.

The composition is very nice and the clouds came at a good timing for your autumn shot...really like it.

I didn't know what it was when I shot the picture, but here's an explanation from RedOrbit: Distrails are the clearly delineated lanes that form behind aircraft flying in a thin cloud layer. The heat exhaust created by the combustion of the aircraft's fuel can sometimes evaporate the clouds. The phenomenon is fairly rare.

Interesting sky, nice capture.

Neat. Never knew such a phenomenon existed. Nice image.

Quite interesting. Nice photo to boot!

They are uncommon, especially the clear distrails. Distrails are usually not very long, since they usually show in altocumulus which is not at a cruising altitude of the aircraft (i.e. the aircraft is either descending or ascending through the cloud).
(Thanks Google)
Long AND clear... That makes this quite the capture! (But how did you know?)

Lucky you, who had this wonderful photo just waiting for your camera! Great composition, colors - and the distrails are very interesting. I agree with Ernest's "unique".

ha, cool! and thanks for the explanation; I've never seen a distrail before!

This is a neat image.

But I doubt it is distrail because of the scale.
Pilots avoid spending much time, (distance) in cloud layers for several reasons, lack of
visibility is one, (sure there are instruments, but IFR is never as comfortable as VFR), and
clouds are a very good place to find turbulence.

The two clear areas seem to be miles long and there are phenomenon,
(even more interesting to me than distrail),
which cause this.

Still a pretty cool image in any event.
