BIG RED

Located in Holland MI on Lake Michigan at the end of the canal. Taken at dusk.

It's made of riveted metal, but has shingled tops.

I did another one later after dark which was already posted: http://www.photocritique.net/g/s?zzSAen-pRUTH+RITTICHIER

All three a super shots, Ruth! Great colours, and nice perspective from each aspect. Thanks!

I particularly like the third picture... the perspective with the form of Big Red rising above the head of the viewer, the contrast between that of the structure and the background which serves to bring a 3D feel to the picture, and the paintlike quality of the composition.

Of all your lighthouses series, this is my favorite! Love that red color plus the pink trailing clouds in the OP. And I love the last one as well. Nice contrast colors of the red and greens...

Thank you Ruth!

the last one takes first place

Yep, rear view is the best.

Yes, the rear view for me too!
This shot against the evening sky enables us to concentrate on the
design without any distractions

I like your front and rear view, with a preference for the rear, so to speak.

I prefer the rear view. Gives a great perspective viewing it from the sea, presumably.
