Taken last night at Mono Lake. The lighting was fantastic on the Tufa, and the lower water level has exposed many rocks that were submerged this spring. Taken with my 5D and C/Y 35-70mm Zeiss

I like the contrast between the colors of the sky captured in the reflective water and the lightness of the tufa, the inclusion of the moon which helps to give a moody feel to the composition, and just the nature of the setting with the vertical forms of the tufa peopling the setting. There must be a ghostly feel to this setting once the light gets low and lightness of the tufa catches the moonlight. Is that an animal's skull in the lower right hand corner?

Quite an unusual scene. I really like how you photographed it.

Great surreal landscape there! Very effectively done, except that I think you could do without all that bluish sky at the top.

Well done! One of the better Mono Lake shots that I have seen.

Superb landscape of Mono Lake, which is an alkaline and hypersaline lake in California:

Odd looking lake, although the shot is quite beautiful.
