Sometimes

Sometimes it's worth a stop along I-15 in the drab Mojave desert towards Las
Vegas. Thanks for commenting.

Beautiful. 3D almost. I could almost hear my echo bouncing of the
mountains. Great work, Jeff. Your photos are one of the very few reasons
I occasionally visit this site.

I like the interplay of shadows and sunlight across the rugged landscape, the layering that works to step the viewer through the image from the foreground to the cloudy sky and just the nature of the setting (having lived on the Prairies for over 40 years now the sight of mountains sends a thrill through me and I would stop just to look at the land rising from the flatness of the Prairies to the heights of the Rockies).

Yo-de-o-de-lay-hee-hooo!

A little HDR in there or just the light being really cool?

I want to reach up and open that hole in the cloud shining on left-center mountain a bit bigger, but you know, that's kind of hard to do.

No HDR.

I believe I see Jimmy Stuart riding a horse back there in the shadow of that mountain.

Beautiful sun-dappled landscape. Very nice.
