High Winds High Clouds
Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Fri, 07/09/10 20:01 I like the perspective that you adopted for this photograph with the darkened forms of the trees serving as a partial framing for the high wispy clouds, the nature of the clouds themselves which reminds one of tattered curtains blowing in the breeze, and the contrast between the darkened trees and the relative lightness of the cloudy sky which serves to bring a sense of depth to the picture. Comments by John Long on Sun, 07/11/10 14:15 A great cloudscape, with the trees forming a clever composition Comments by Barry Dickieson on Sun, 07/11/10 15:10 An interesting picture painted by nature and well captured. Comments by Tanya DeLeeuw on Mon, 07/12/10 14:51 The past few days were extremely hot, and towards the end of the week this resulted in some really strong winds at higher elevations, resulting in more interesting skies ... here's another one taken from my deck ...
Comments by Ruth Rittichier on Mon, 07/12/10 17:14 Ah yes, cirrus clouds mean a change in the weather within 24 hours. Comments by Maria Salvador on Sat, 07/17/10 14:04 :-)Those clouds also swirled over Almada a few days ago! Indeed two very nice skyscapes. A bit "on the fence" about the trees in the OP, but love the whispy clouds. |
