Sorry, it was a normal photo at one time.

I like the viewpoint you were able to get for this autumnal composition with the layering of varying colors (sort of a visual step ladder to lead the eyes of the viewer upward through the image). I also find the grainy feel of the picture works well to bring out the textural quality of what I imagine these bushes, trees and leaves would feel like at this time of the year. No startling colors to leap out at the viewer but for me a real sense of the step by step progression in the changing of the colors as one moves from day to day with cooler and cooler temperatures.

Alot of warm colors and layers. Very nice. IMO it could very well stand on it's own without the effects. Your apology about it sounds like something unintended happened to take it out of "normal."

I had been working on details and details and tones and then I just said screw this and decided enough was enough...and changed direction. I am starting to fight myself over manipulating and wanting to do other stuff.

Normal is relative and besides it's not always easy to discern the subtleties on the web. I think this is quite sublime.

Good job, Greg. I like the layered effect of the different colours and the grain works well.

It's a very attractive progression of colours taking the eye to those silvery trunks at the top. Good one Greg!

Great one. Something between a tapestry and a woolly blanket. Refreshingly different kind of composition for a landscape.

I thought tapestry too, but Ross said that already.

Um, ditto Ross.
