Zen like

I dug up an old Nikon 180mm 2.8 non cpu lens, I haven't used
in years.
The woman was patiently waiting and watching her husband who
was fishing in the St Lawrence river.

A very nice portrait. Outstanding background. No distractions. At first I thought this
might be from a small village you had travelled through until I noticed the modern fleece
jacket.

Super candid portrait of this lady, just the right DoF.

The contrast between the diffuse feel of the background and the lady helps to bring a distinct 3D quality to the picture. There is a hint of a catchlight in her eyes which serves to draw one's eyes to the lady's face.

I saw her sitting there all quiet and still. It was her hat that caught
my attention, the colors reminded me of Thailand. Then I saw her face,
so Zen like. Every fiber of my body wanted this picture. I bent down
and thanked her as I was leaving, I only took the one shot.
