I leave the bird photos to Dennis, but I liked the look of the water.

And the water here, too.

I have one like the OP from about 10 eyars ago. I liked it then and like this now. I like the spashes of green. #2 is a distant second for me.

I especially like the opening picture with the contrast of that of the sharp clear form of the duck set against the near abstractive feel of the water, the ripple flowing out from the body of the duck to create a sense of movement, and the catchlight in the eye. Of course I would be very happy with the second image... it is just that the posted image is a couple of steps up the ladder of appeal for me.

Nice the way the light is reflecting off the water to show off the bird.

Very nice water ripples in both images. Like the water OP better, it's so interesting. The duck in the second one is closer up so I prefer that duck, but both are pleasing to look at.

op great blending of abstract and definitive images

The "gold" water is much more unusual than blue so it really stands out. The duck looks pin
sharp so I'd do some cropping to get it out of center. A little less room at the tail end than in
front of the beak.

I like the look of the water too. On both. The OP I'd prefer as an abstract, without the duck, but I like the duck on the second.

Both are very nice!
