Wonderful! Love the seagulls hogging the camera. The young adults, looking for treasures like children. And the fog hugs them all.

The fog works to make this image for me. I tried to imagine this setting without the fog and it would probably would have been photogenic subject of a day at the beach but the inclusion of the fog brings a moody feel to the image.

It reminded me of classic pictoralism with the treatment you gave it. I love the effect and the mingling of waves, people and gulls.

In the current fashion of comparing photographs to classical painting the woman bending over immediately reminded me of The Gleaners by Jean Millet :) Of course the comparisons end there. It's a great photo.

Having grown up in San Diego, I LOVE this image. It's very familiar and nostalgic for me.

I like this one, for more than one reason. Mostly, it evokes for me a statement about humans as the intruders. The gulls belong there, and they are sharp and real and permanent. The humans are halfway into the mist and impermanent, their impact already fading. The grain is a big reason. As it always does, it's more apparent in the broad middle tones, which is where the people are. No matter the interpretation, it has qualities that make one stop and think about it, and that's art.

Has a great look to it. Love the background haze.

The hazy, grainy effect is particularly good here.
