Spendid use of wide angle Richard. A super opportunity to pick up foreground detail and merge it with the background. Opens our visual world. Excellent.

I like the toning of the image, the visual balance that is created between the foreground pool and the grayish hue of the sky, and just the nature of the foreground pool (so many interesting items within the pool that invite the photographer to bring the camera to more of a closeup focus on those items).

Wonderful, Richard!

An unusual coastal scene. Great foreground and depth. Couple of nits though: Either crop deeper into the circular pool or more room around the edges rather than the edges sitting on the edge of the frame. Straighten the horizon line.

An interesting image made from a scene where many wouldn't have got out their cameras. The pool looks like the contents of some creature's stomach to me...

what an eerie looking scene...I agree with Dave that the pool of water in the front looks like there is some sort of living thing in there all curled up...great capture on film

It does kind of look like a creature curled up in there if you don't look directly at it- what a great catch! A neat place that looks like it would be a scene from the hit show "Lost."

Very interesting rocks in that pool. Left-over body parts?

Thanks everyone for all the comments, I will get a grip on this cs3 soon enough and make sure they are all straight too . i promise.
It was taken on the Mornington Peninsula near home, ultra low tide and a place where you can not normally get out to. Had to use the booties to get through a few rock pools on the way too. There was a little crayfish living under one of those rocks and the pool was around 40-50cm in diameter, i took it on a tripod but really low to the ground.Nikon D200 and Sigma 10-20 (my all time fave lens)+Hoya polarizer
