The viewpoint creates the sense of being in another sailboat behind these two. The Applied Oil Paint filter is apparent in the sky and sails to me and I'm just wondering if you applied the filter below the water line? A black background works well with the varying shades of blue in the image.

I should have said I used the Oil Paint filter uniformly over the entire image, then reduced
opacity of that layer to find what I liked best, Jan. Thanks for your critique and insights. I
think you are right about a black background or mat.

Nicely put together.

Think effect works well on sails, would like to see if removing effect on sky improves overall feeling or not.

What is that big yellowish stain through the center of the image? Is that part of the oil paint filter effect? I would get rid of that, if I could. Otherwise, nice image and nice treatment.

Thanks for all comments and input. Yes, Tony, I see what you mean and I have used CS6 and
Viveza 2 to correct yellowish/greenish area.
