Rural Manitoba
Comments by Sandi MacDonald on Tue, 01/12/10 12:21 It was frigid cold here as well in NS, -16c wind chill...not pleasant tempertures for taking pictures. This image is very nice...nice textures and a very cold winter look to it. Like the angle of shot and the pretty clouds. Nicely done. Comments by Ernest Cadegan on Tue, 01/12/10 13:28 Nice. Some perspective correction would improve it. Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Tue, 01/12/10 14:34 I like the lean as it is... seems to enhance of the building slowly collapsed back into the surrounding landscape. I do like the contrast between the darkened nature of the derelict building and the blue/white of the cloudy sky. I see a structure such as this and I realize that this is simply not a building or a structure but someone's home... someone who has moved on but their place still lingers in rural Manitoba enduring our cold and snow. Comments by Linda Frey on Tue, 01/12/10 22:53 Love that one tree that is so close to the wall, it could be coming out of the house. Comments by Tony Scheuhammer on Wed, 01/13/10 00:12 This gives the phrase "room with a view" a whole new meaning. :) Comments by Maria Salvador on Wed, 01/13/10 05:11 Very nice! And would also work great on B&W - me thinks... Comments by Paul Bracey on Wed, 01/13/10 12:46 the blurred inverse overlay is perhaps a tad too obvious, but otherwise nice Comments by Scott Kroeker on Wed, 01/13/10 13:13 Thank you all very much for the comments.
Comments by John Wise on Wed, 01/13/10 23:10 Sharp and vivid. The lean doesn't bother me. Nice winter photo! Comments by Robert Neill on Thu, 03/04/10 17:27 Nice image. I like the contrast of the bright blue sky. |
