Comments by Michael Hibbitts on Tue, 02/06/07 07:36 Good subject for a pastel-like rendition. Comments by Ruth Rittichier on Tue, 02/06/07 08:14 One of the better old-vehicle images. The snow enhances the abandoned effect. I love the texture and painterly technique. Was this done in Painter? Comments by Jan Bjorklund on Tue, 02/06/07 08:26 I like the high contrast feel of your composition, the pastel coloring (especially when set against a black background), and the overall painterly feel of your composition. Comments by Diane Kroupa on Tue, 02/06/07 09:49 Love the gorgeous colors and the perspective for this wonderful old truck. Your post processing is so magicaly artistic and complementary. Comments by Linda Frey on Tue, 02/06/07 09:53 Excellent effect, John. Comments by Roger on Tue, 02/06/07 10:31 Super colors and a great effect on this, very well done. Comments by Pete Lusa on Tue, 02/06/07 20:27 Great work!! Any chance of sharing how it's done :) Comments by John Wise on Tue, 02/06/07 21:02 To begin with, I overexposed by about 2 stops. I then adjusted the levels to bring out the truck colors. I then sized it to 750 by 563. I applied Rough pastels which was too harsh, so I faded that by 50%. Then with the Clone tool I cloned some of the white forground snow around the border and finished the border off by fading the opacity of the clone tool to 15 to 50% and working farther into the edges. No fancy plug in filters! Comments by G.B. SHETTLER on Tue, 02/06/07 21:28 Sounds fancy to me. Nice effect, Great photo ! Comments by Julie M.
