Interesting photo...... creative, also, in that political commentary could be read into it, as well.....I like it.

Looks like a wonderful meal. The watermelon looks especially good.

Looks like E.C. is going to leave you alone on this one. Does look like good watermelon.

Please folks. All ten or so of you. (Well actually there's only four
of you here.) I need your help. Please help me in my war on Alias and
stop loading his postings with comments. He says terrible things to
me. This is sooooo important to me. I can hardly tolerate his
behavior. Whoever he is!! I'm practically having a nervous breakdown
because of this complete stranger.

Could we have more of these photos Alias? You've shown such adeptness
with that PS filter.

Nice bright colors and the use of the filter makes it a happy joyful image.

Well, this is pretty old but I saw your name pop up so I thought I'd
check it out.

This is an example of what I was saying elsewhere on this site, that
filters are used to dress up a poor photo. I think that is the case
here. If I imagine what this was like without the filter, it's a
pedestrian snapshot. If it were just the table and the hands it would
be better, but there's part of a woman at the end. She's behind
something that cuts her off and her head is out of the frame. What
that brown thing is I don't know.

So what has been done here is to apply a filter that smears detail and
forces artificial unity on it - because everything looks kinda the
same, the uncritical viewer will skip past noticing that there are
many distractions in the frame and that the basic image could do with
a major crop, or better, a reshoot with just food and hands.

I have always loved a 'painted' look applied to a photograph. I cannot paint well, but love to. When I took up photography, I did so with the intent of perhaps taking some art classes to increase my painting knowledge and then painting many of my favorite scenery shots. I never did take the classes but when I discovered the painted look filters I was sooo excited. I, personally, have never loved the idea of using photographs to decorate with...but now, I can make my photo into a piece of art that pleases my Artist's eye and I love that!!! I can so see this hanging in an art gallery, Alias. ;0))
