Floating Leaf

After heavy rain and wind, the colorful leaves are mostly on the ground now.
This one landed in a small pool of water. I love the way the edges keep it afloat.

I've been searching for a maple leaf like this but I've not found one... the sunlight highlighting the leaf and heightening the contrast between itself and the darkened nature of the water is an added plus to the picture for me.

Simply beautiful Tom. I like this because it's your own. You see quite a few photos being posted on PC of trees with their Autumn foliage. Most are beautiful but after a while, a tree is a tree is a tree (for me anyway). This is a nice break. It's sharp, colorful, well lit and captures Autumn with a little bit of your own twist. I like it a lot! AND I'M NOT JUST SAYING THIS BECAUSE YOU COMPLIMENTED MY BABY BOY :o) LOL!

Very nice. I like that you placed it on the diagonal, and the dark water forms a good background for it.

Good shot....nice and sharp.....what lens did you use for this?

Thanks to all for commenting. Sandi, this was taken with a Tamron 28-75/2.8 lens, which is
my carry-around "street lens."
