The reflective quality of the water serves as a strong foundation for the balance of your IR composition. Every time I see water such as this at this time of the year I think flood and I'm glad I read your comments (re: irrigation of the orchard) to realize what I was actually looking at.

Nice shot. In my experience digitally captured infrared needs a fair amount of processing in order to approach the characteristic look of IR film; for example (hope you don't mind).
