A real sense of the cold in the setting... the bluish hue of everything from ground to sky reinforces that sense of cold.

Very nice, I like the vanishing point in the middle.

A sense of cold, and also of beautiful loneliness. Loving it!

I think the best part of this are the beautiful suble shades of blue. Very nostalgic to me.

Nostalgic for me as well and I like it (I can remember driving on similar roads and wondering if I'd have enough traction to get over the top...). Photographically, I would like it more if the road went on forever, like if those bits on the horizon weren't there.

having never driven in snow ,in my life,I can truly appreciate this, from a purely aesthetic point of view :-)

Nice shot, Linda. Not use to driving in the snow, I can feel myself nervously inching along with the crunching sound of the snow under my tires constatnly reminding me that I am completely out of my element. Excellent use of the rule of thirds... Marc needs to use this photo as an illustration of that principle in his photography class.

I am not sure about the blue cast. I would prefer whiter snow. Was it taken through a tinted windshield?

At first I thought the snow hanging on the trees was the result of
blizzard-like conditions, but then realized the road had been plowed
at high speed throwing snow high in the air - a great winter shot.+
