The original works really well as an abstract Julie. Shows a good understanding of colour harmony, with interesting shapes too. Well seen and well executed.

I prefer the original (although I confess I don't like it that much -- personal taste). It does have good contrasts of colour and texture, with just enough discernable to make it understandable without losing the abstract quality

I like the coloring (especially with a black background made use of), the sense of dripping flow that is created by the weather worn nature of the wood, and the overall abstractive feel of the composition. The reworked image in the comment section as an icy feel to me (I feel trapped inside an ice cave).

The OP is great, Julie. I don't see it as an abstract, I just really like the old car peeking through the disintegrating wood. Makes me wonder if the car would be safer out of the building. ;-)

The OP is a great find, Julie! I hope you took many views of it. I would like to see the bottom board cropped off to keep the eye on the lines of the car and rotting wood. I find the colors clashing, but that adds to the deteriorating feel of the image.

I really like the OP Julie. I agree with Linda. I don't see it as an abstract either. To me it has the sense of finding a lost treasure. Good job. As far as the other photo... I just don't get it.

A fun scene to play with. Great texture. Crop a little below the windows of the blue car and they look like malevolent eyes.

Very nice, it shows both the age on the car and the age on the building, each quite different.

Great OP, Julie. There's a sense of mystery here, with the old car peeking out from the old shed.
