Little Colorado River

Not too far out of Flagstaff on the reservation. These are seasonal and I was
there last week which was too late for high water. Near as I can tell on the web,
this was something like 54 cubic feet per second. Highest recorded was
120000cfs. The water is very muddy, but with a very blue sky and late light,
doesn't show except in a few areas of the pic.

A spectacular falls

That late light may not show the muddy quality of the water but it works well to highlight the fall of the water and to enhance the flow of the water from the upper edge of the picture through an arc taking the river out of image in the upper left.

Feels like a waterfall under construction... by Mother Nature and Company.

Mike, nice capture and great lighting. The shutter speed is "right on."

I might have shaved a touch off the top and the left hand side.
But the rocks, gorgeous. Well done.

So good it's hard to believe it's real and was seen by a human.

The only thing I might add is that the upper left corner seems somewhat unnaturally "curved"... my brain expects that part of the shot to be darker with less color and detail.

Spectacular scenery... :)

Ditto the above comments Mike. Can you tell me the height of the falls, it's hard to put a size to them.
