Tap out. Bird in shadow? Pretty nice.

As you can see not the best of situations for auto focus to work well, but once again the Canon 1DX has done good.

In this shot the camera has managed to track the bird and completely ignore the more brightly contrasted tree in the foreground.

Not all camera though :@}} still have to use the right settings for the situation

Natural light

That's impressive on the second one. I guess they finally got that focus
problem fixed. I don't think my 1Ds Mark III could do that.

900 images taken other weekend at football matches 4 images only not in focus. This is in a different league.

Wildlife photographer Andy Rouse has converted back to Canon for this camera, a guy known for speaking it as it is

I like the way the Verreauxs Eagle Owl stands out in the opening image... full of detail and clarity and most importantly in both images the catchlights in the eye.

Nicely done for sure. That head and beak don't say "owl" to me. You got some strange animals in your land. Out with the faucet.

Don't know how you manage this shots but this one is beautiful as well.
The tap may tell something about the bird's habitat.

Wonderful. You've got quite the knack for these wildlife shots.
