I like both of your compositions of the Freesia... I think it is simple the striking vivid colors of red and green that grab my attention this time of the year with the world around me reduced to an endless blanket of white no matter where I look. I guess I have a preference for a black background with the image (as with your previously image) since I particularly like this picture when the background color is clicked over to black.

Beautiful colors, detailing in the flower, the sense of flow that carries the eyes of the viewer through the image, and the transition from soft to sharp back to soft completes the picture for me.

This one is nice too, Sandi, but I think I prefer your previous version. With the black
background.

I like this one too Sandi, both back grounds work for me. This is the
same flower as the previous post, but one bud bloomed, adding to the
beauty of the image.

Very nice, did you use a light box?

Very nice.

If you forced me to choose, though, I think I'd have to pick the one with the black background.

Also very nice, although I tend to agree with Linda - if I had to choose!
