Settling in for the night
Comments by Paul Bracey (camhead@aol.com) on Thu, 04/06/00 20:19 Very dramatic lighting on the sheep. That makes the shot very nice. Comments by Bill Taylor (bt1947@lanset.com) on Thu, 04/06/00 20:29 Very nice, indeed! Comments by Leah A. (smsagoo@yahoo.com) on Thu, 04/06/00 21:17 Best photo I've seen today. Comments by Bob Ternes Jr. (bternes@ix.netcom.com) on Thu, 04/06/00 21:28 I think you caught this one just right...5 minutes sooner and not enough tree to block the sun...5 minutes later and no sheep. Must have been a dusty day also? I even like the backlight on the distant treeline. Great image! Comments by grant (g4lamos@yahoo.com) on Thu, 04/06/00 22:04 nice Comments by Brian Kennedy (brk@eclipse.net) on Thu, 04/06/00 22:06 Beautiful shot, Gary. I just wanted to add my congratulations, too ;-). Comments by Gordon Richardson (gordonr@iafrica.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 01:58 One of you best photos (IMO)! I might be tempted to show some detail in the grass (I assume there was some in the original), but the image works fine as a silhoutte. Taken with a 28-200mm? Comments by Gary Jean (jstragman@hotmail.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 04:13 Jon Cleary. I think the movie had Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr. You nailed this one, mate! The wooly silhouettes take it from merely excellent to great. Enjoyed the commentary too. Comments by fahed alshayee (fahed91@kuwait2000.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 05:27 Brilliant image...! Comments by Tony VenGraitis (tony_vengraitis@yahoo.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 05:56 Nice! Love the "face" glowing in the tree trunk! Hump their swags? Hoon some tucker? Kip down? 1930 lingo sounds like Jar Jar Binks! Comments by Larry Korhnak (lvk@gnv.ifas.ufl.edu) on Fri, 04/07/00 06:00 Very nice! Comments by hil calzone (entirely@innocent.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 06:06 goos exposure gb! (though i am tempted to ramble about your definition of swaggie!) Comments by Janet Jonas (fadedmemory@msn.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 06:22 Simply a beautiful image! It not only looks good,I can feel the image too. Regards, Janet Comments by Fausto (Faustoa2aol.com) on Fri, 04/07/00 08:54 Great shot! Beautiful colors and composition. I also loved the commentary. Comments by Wolfgang Drung (wdrung@t-online.de) on Fri, 04/07/00 18:19 Beautiful scene, perfect exposure and composition. I see bisons. Comments by Toni Lankerd (a_snapshot@hotmail.com) on Sat, 04/08/00 20:10 Well done, Gary! Excellent exposure and composition. Comments by gb () on Sun, 04/09/00 12:53 Lucky shot. You know nothing of photography. Comments by Gary B (bordo@hi-speed) on Sun, 04/09/00 23:41 Oh no!
Comments by Michael S. Morgan (msm30@yahoo.com) on Mon, 04/10/00 06:55 This is a good shot. Did you get anymore? The silhouettes on the right side of the tree are not as striking as ones on the left. I wonder if the lighting was still as spectacular by the time the cows on the right were on the left. Comments by Garry Schaefer (schaefer@pangea.ca) on Tue, 04/11/00 11:59 I'll gladly put this image back on the top of the Recent Comments listing. Strong composition, gradations in the almost monotonic colour scheme and great sihouettes of, from your comment, woolies (rather than cows, bison or whatever else might be imagined). Good work! |
