Jasper, Alberta, Canada

I am back from Jasper, Alberta. Luckily I was able to do some editing on the drive back on my friend's laptop. I got through half of day one's photos and day one was only a 6 hour 'photo' day. In all, we were out for 33 hours of photography related exploring. We covered a heck of a lot of ground in two and half days of shooting. Roughly 400km in Jasper alone on the truck, about 15km of hiking on trails not including all the random stopping and hiking. It was fun weekend and the blisters on my feet were worth it.

I like the sense of clarity from the foreground water through to the distant mountains (there is the feeling for me as if a photograph of the mountains and forest has been combined with a painting of the waterscape), the colors (especially the emerald green hue of the water), and the sense of peacefulness... tranquility that is evoked by the setting

So much to see in this shot. The colours, the scenes, the layers, the textures. Definately one to hang on the wall and admire. Jasper Al looks beautiful from your point of view.

I like this picture, very sharp. Is that a camp set up in the right side shore area?

Beautiful color in the water and woods.
Great sense of clarity and presence in the water.
The sky and mountains ... not so much.

Very good composition
MUCH better than some of your previous posts.

Overall very nice and peaceful.

Oookaaay... This is what you get when the plan really does come together.

The only thing one would wish for was quieter water on the far side of the lake to get better reflections, but the ripples are just as good in my book. Hard to find much wrong with this to say the least.

One of the best HDR images I've seen. Most are too flat for my taste. Nice work.
