You must have really been hiding in the weeds to get this great perspective shooting from the head level of the thrush. The contrast between the color and patterning on the body of the thrush and the surrounding muted greenery helps to make the bird stand out strongly in the image while the beak full of worms seals the deal for me... I like this image with a black background color.

IMO I would crop about 25% off the top. It adds little to the subject

What a lovely bird. Good sharpness and lighting. I do find there is too much space at the top though. But still a fine shot.;-)

Excellent bird shot Les (as we would expect from you!). I find the lighter 'blob' at the top needs cropping. Taken from a hide?
