Patience

I was shooting the sunset at the light at South Haven, Michigan. I noticed this little girl who was seated on an overturned plastic bucket and waiting patiently for a fish to bite her line. I liked the brilliant sunset behind her cute little silhouette.

It's a great sunset and good silhouette. IMO the beams on the right could have been left out. Could you have taken a higher position to see more water? Not much more but a little more than you have here. Could the white gizmos to the left of the girl been moved out of the frame? I think this would work great as vertical with the girl near the bottom of the frame and lots of sky.

I like the sense of the image with the young woman silhouetted against the vivid coloring of the sunset sky... creates a sense of peacefulness as the end of the day... not so important as to what you might catch as to winding down after a busy day. I'm not sure if this is the case but the cloudy sky has a flat feel to it which I get when I use the shadow/highlight with CS3 if I use the default setting for that function.

A nice, well caught, peaceful moment. Great mood to this one.

Very nice silhouette against a pretty sky. I don't mind the beams. But the white bag(?) could be removed for my liking.

Nice to see you back, Diane.

A shot that captures the tranquillity of the moment - the silhouette against that super sky and the pose of the young girl make it for me.

Hey Diane! Nice to see your work again! This one is a real keeper, and I hope the little girl caught a keeper too after all her patient waiting. Really lovely. I also agree that the bag could go..;0)

Nice colouring and overall an attractive feel to it. I do think, however, it would be better without the beams or the bag, and it would be good if one could see more of the sea.
