Simply exquisite! The coloring, the Christmas decorations, the hightlights on the face, hands, music.

I like the manner in which you have highlighted the face of the pianist, her hands and the sheet music, the sense of flow that is evoked by the pianist's gaze at her hands and the piano keys, and the just the overall painterly feel of your composition.

Another fine portrait. As usual, the lighting is perfect.

Very high quality image for all the reasons mentioned. It does seem just a little dark though on my monitor (and that might well be the reason). :-)

Another fine image of human occupation.

A real pleasure to look at. Wonderful tones and lighting, and capture of personality too.

Lovely, Christopher. The piano with the candle holders would be a museum piece around here. Nice to see it is still in use.

My only nit is that the top of the piano is cluttered. Ummm, looks like mine.

Another excellent submission. For me, it has the look of a film from the forties, and would, I think, be even more so were face to have a little less of a tan. In any case, a lovely portrait.

IMO, the cleaned off version is excellent. Is there any background information you can share?

Wonderful! The original was already great. The re-post looks perfect to me...

You can come to my house to tidy any time, Christopher.

I'd prefer to keep the lower 1/2 of the objects that you removed, to keep the image from looking vignetted
