Stephen Juba Park, Winnipeg, Mb.

I had spent most of the past week trying to find insects to photograph but there were no bees and no butterflies and just a lot of mosquitoes until I discovered this bumblebee in the rose. At first I thought it was resting because there was no movement which proved not to be true. It was just that the bumblebee was having a difficult time trying to take off loaded up with pollen.

I was taken by the pale color of the sunflower and I didn't even see the little spider until I downloaded the picture.

Splendid series of flowers' world from Winnipeg, Jan... :)
I can almost feel the delicate scent of the rose, in the OP.

Thank you so much for your Canadian report.

I had a similar experience of finding something I didn't see in the viewfinder-mine was a alligator. Nice floral images.

I like the sunflower and the lilies the best. I have never seen a pale sunflower before...;-)

Nice contrast between the bee and the flower in the OP. Bumblebees always have their heads stuck down in flowers, it seems; and they're much more skittish and more difficult to photograph than honeybees.

I like the riot of color in the photo of the lilies.

A pleasure to see all these flowers with their riotous color, and to share your view of the bumblebee in the rose. I've never seen a pale sunflower before.
