Very lovely. Love the shapes of the trees with the contrast of the white snow. Good viewpoint too.

I love the feel of the winding branches that disappear into the far off snow covered trees. Just in my own opinion, I think this would be an even stronger image if you cropped a tiny bit off the left side (maybe crop up to the first big tree/enough to cut out the lamp post). Nice work!

I really like the contrast between the white snow and the blackness of the tree trunks and branches, the manner in which the branches arch over the walkway to touch each other (the sense of being in a church), and the inclusion of the solitary soul which brings a moody feel to the composition. I find a black background color works best with this picture.

Gorgeous!

Wonderful trees. Even though the scene may have been this dark, esthetically I prefer producing with more light.

Cracking picture Dan, the figure gives a great sense of scale.

Beautiful place and fresh snow make a beautiful shot!

That is a beautiful photograph.

Beautiful. A little crop on the left to get rid of half the lamp. IMO it also works without the
street/people.

Loveley take

Agree with Jeff's comments think the lamp posts give the sense of scale as well.

Would be interesting to print 4 versions and study for a while before deciding on the final print.

AS is
No people
Single person only
Couple only

Also Ernests suggestion throws up other possibities as well to play with, oh the choices!

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I agree that truncated lamp post on the left is annoying; wish I had noticed it when taking the shot. Tried cropping but it throws off the balance somewhat. In any event here's an alternate version, cropped ( with a bit of cloning) and desaturated.

I'd keep the orig comp but clone the lamp out, more foreboding this one

OP for me too, I like the bluish tone.
