hat black tongue really stands out against the white coat of the mountain goat. Clarity of detailing and the contrast between the white mountain goat and the surrounding helping to make the mountain goat (and its companion) stand our strongly add to the visual impact of the image. How close were you to the goats?

You're a wildlife photographer as well. Love that fur.

I echo all comments Paul. I think I would have used long lens perhaps a
200mm, wouldn't want to get too close to those horns.

nicely caught Paul - I wouldn't like to get too close to those horns.

The only place I've ever seen these was on Mt. Evans, CO.
Elevation: 14, 263'

Nice "cAtch."

It's almost like you're walking among them. It takes a big tele to nearly fill the frame or a
moderate tele and an animal that will tolerate your close presence or a wide angle stuck
in the ground and fired remotely or the animal tripped a beam. Whatever the gear it's
excellent. Obvioulsly eats well to get that coat.

Not almost, Jeff... This small herd walked right past us! Exciting!

That will be a time to treasure. You got great shots to help you remember.
