Sad and lonely.

Your autumnal composition reminds me of a view along the Red River around Winnipeg. The golden hue of the grasses, the barren trees, the last ducks of the year preparing for migration... all the sense of the seasons passing from one to the other. And then such a strong reflection to serve as a foundation for a picture as well as picking up the significant elements from the far shoreline.

Lovely image, makes good use of those muted colours. The ducks are the icing on the cake.

I love the way the lines in the sky have the same motion blur effect as the water. A very beautiful scene worth remembering.

Stunning! So peaceful! I really like this!

Quite a wintry feel. Beautifully symmetrical composition, even the trees balance and the ducks are centred.

No reason for being nostalgic. The same scene as a snowscape is very promising too.

The last beauty of the Autumn days... So serene and peaceful!

Love every inch of this, Linda! I really don't like to see winter coming on, but I sure love the look of bare trees, especially the gnarly ones.

Trees... dressed in lush green, autumn hues of red and yellow, or as here, in nothing at all are a hallmark of creation's magnificent beauty. You captured it well in this evocative and moody photograph, Linda. Thank you for sharing it.

Nice photograph. Wondering what this would look like if you cropped out all of the sky, trees, and bushes, and included only the tall grass next to the river with the rest of the photo? I think it might look great that way, IMHO, because then you focus more on the ducks and the water and the beautiful reflection of the trees in the water. It might be worth a try...
