This is another shot from my stay at Bilbao, Spain. It is hand held.

Another striking image of the Bilbao Bridge. I like the sense of flow that is created by the architectural styling of the bridge, the contrast between the highlighted bridge structure and the darkened nature of the distant highrise buildings (brings a sense of depth to the picture) and the moody feel that is evoked by the darkened nature of the night time sky.

Great Image !! Sorry that I have missed lots of your images for the past while but I have gone through your PC Gallery and there are to many good ones to point them all out.

I LOVE this photograph, it has the beautiful lines, great colors, and people in it too. Just all around one of my favorites. I smiled looking at it.

To see the bridge in virtual reality and 3 dimensions, download Sketchup 6, which is free:
Sketchup Google

Then download the Sketchup 6 file of Bilbao Zubizuri bridge (by Santiago Calatrava):
Bilbao Zubizuri Bridge, Sketchup 6 file

Finally install Skecthup 6 and open the Zubizuri skp file: MUCH FUN is granted!

Nice work. Have you tried walking across it after a few drinks?

Thank you all for your comments. Fortunately, It wasn't an easy shot because I had to use a slow shutter speed but fortunately, I learned how to take shots hand held at this speed. These are the readings: Camera body Nikon D90, lens: Kit lens 18-105 mm VR set at 18mm; Speed 1/13th of a second; apeture F4.5 and iso 500.

The lighting is very “blues” like, the floor is very “Stayin’ Alive” like and the cables of the bridge portray a harp or maybe even piano strings. Very beautiful colors. The detail that you caught for this handheld low light shot is impeccable. Excellent job Chris!
