About To Get Doused

The wind was so strong, I had to lean myself and tripod against the outside of the car to get photos.

I like the way you caught that huge wave as is seems ready to engulf the lighthouse, the contrast between the foreground elements of the picture and the lightness of the sky which serves to make those foreground elements stand out strongly in the image, and the sense of power that is evoked by that giant wave.

A bit soft but, under the circumstances you have described, great timing and take on some heavy duty action.

Garry, I softened it with Orton technique because I thought it was over sharp. Here it is without it.

Good timing. Lighthouses this close to the water take a beating. Google 'light houses
and big waves.'. You'll find stills and video. It's a wonder some didn't topple over.

Lovely lighthouse image. Good clouds and big waves. Nice job.;-)

Great catch! I would not want to be on the lover level of the lighthouse.

Great timing Ruth - I prefer the sharper one.
