Jacques, this is exceptional! So simple yet very complex. The tonal quality is perfect for the subject and the apparent motion is strong. One of the best in recent memory.

The muted nature of the picture works particularly well with a black background which helps to heighten the sense of "swarming". I thought from the thumbnail that I would open to a swarm of fish and it really surprised to find that this is a closeup view of petals which evokes a strong sense of motion... of movement... of swarming.

Wondeful flow. I'm in complete agreement with Andy. Judging from the DOF this looks like it could have been with the ZD 50 F2, (that lens is an amazing optical achievement).

Lovely. How did you get that DOF?

Thanks all! This was cropped from a larger view, taken in natural light with the Olympus 14-54 mm zoom (at 54 and F8), converted with Power Retouche.
