f1.4

Read a recent article about using very wide apertures for some landscape work
although the author was using a .95 Leica lens. Tried a few today on Agave with
an 85 f1.4 on DX.

Love those f1,4 or 2,0 lenses, have a few myself too. They are great when you want to
photograph details and why not landscape too?!

I like the effect here done with this lens. Would be interesting to see how a flower would look with this lens.;-)

Very beautiful. Love it for the softness, balanced with the sharp brown needle, and the play of blue/green tones.

I like the flow of the leaf and the out of focus lines. Very nice work!

The spike of the agave plant standing out against the blurred nature of the background creates the sense of the stinger of a creature such as a wasp, or bee or maybe some more deathly creature such as a scorpion. As before setting the image against a black background enhances that sense for me.

Nice comp but I question the artificiality of the color.
