The fog did a good job of hiding some of the background trash.

Are abandoned vehicles a problem in Canada Linda? I saw lots in Montana and Utah when I visited the USA several years ago.
There is a pleasing softness about this caused, presumably, by the foggy conditions.

Great shot! Used to see a lot of International Harvester vehicles in the past. The purple coloured truck stands out well in the green field.

This truck doesn't seem to be abandoned, John. It's parked in a yard behind some businesses, and even has a 'not for sale' sign on it. Our old vehicles seem to cluster together in people's yards or wrecking yards.

Harry, you remind me of my dad. Whenever I'd ask him what colour something was, he'd automatically say 'purple' (he was colour blind, and didn't want to guess wrong). That rusty truck started out green.

The foggy background works well to help enhance the contrast between the truck and its surroundings. The truck reminds me of the building towing business that used to be located beside the place I worked (you know like silos... grain elevators... heavy farm structures) and I always kick myself now for not taking pictures of those vehicles.

Early morning dew on the windshield and fenders, I like the composition and the muted colors, the fog is a great bonus.

Through rose colored glasses. Nice!

The colour balance looks way better on my older CRT monitor. Never realized this before but there's quite a variation between the two. Guess I'll be using the older computer to do image editing from now on. Thanks, Linda!

I guess if it is only driven on the farm it doesn't matter.

I like the dew on the windows, it looks lived in...

Loving everything about this! The colors, the overall composition, the dew and the fog...

If I was out shooting I would have passed on this one; good thing you didn't. There's so much detail here well captured; the fogginess, the steamy windows, the missing head light, the dented fender, the over all feeling of abandonment. Never thought I'd feel sorry for a truck! Nice job.

Good one, Linda!
tho' I always am surprised at the steering wheel being on the 'wrong' side!

Was watching TV - in one sequence, the traffic came straight towards the camera, on the right hand side of the road - I was ready to jump into the ditch!

The trucks I feel for are those with their wheels in the air - very undignified.

LOvely, love the dampness on the windshield.

The soft light and foggy background make an ideal shot of this old relic.

Would have loved to have gotten my viewfinder on this one. Mist and dew on the windshield are a huge plus.

Reminds me of some scenes that we used to find in derelict farmers' fields in Connecticut during the 1970's. Great moody image, might be a little too much of magenta cast though.

Great job on this one LInda! You knew that I would love it.
