Wise not to ignore the carrots, you never know what mischief they are capable of.

Another goody. Great use of light. I didn't know carrots could grow like that.

So, Linda, are you growing your carrots in an electromagnetic field? In any event you have produced some charming and colorful characters, mutant though they may be!

GREAT FUN - thanks for the laugh Linda!

Poor things, have they been grown on melamine? Or is this a GMO experiment in your backyard, :-)? Fun to look at anyway, I like the light on the leggy one on the rhs.

Is it just me
or does anyone else see a great series, (or two) coming ?
One perfectly straight and "artsy".
The other with tomato heads on carrot bodies being silly. ;-)

(thought bubble...
"Honey, those crazy carrots are doing the chicken dance again...")
If your garden allows it, please keep them coming. Wonderful set of photos.
I'd love to know about the light in both photos.

Great shot. I had no idea carrots could look like that. I am reminded of the line in a poem by Donne: "get with child a mandrake root."

I can relate to those carrots. The one sitting down and relaxing as well as the ones clowning around. I wouldn't have the heart to eat them now.

This is great. Not only extremely interesting, it's a well taken photograph. Now the question...What kind of plutonium you use in your garden? Keep the pets away from there.

Karen, this was shot in my kitchen. There's a window to the right side, no direct sunlight coming in, and I stood between the window and the subject to prevent glare. So I asked the carrots to hold really still while I was shooting. At least they did that well.

Ross you want to get out the city!
Nice going, looks like you have a stoney patch.

I see you gave the little family a thoroughly good scrubbing. The mother on the left looks to be admonishing the father on the right just because he is trying to sneak out of the picture! Their little toddler, Carrot Top, was just getting ready to crawl off after his daddy. Well captured family moment, Linda! ;0)
Hey...ya got a family of potatos in the wings? Your backdrop and lighting are great for these shots..I want some more, although I can't imagine any veggie that could top your Carrot family. '0)

Very humorous!
:-) Loving the little one too - a nice alien family landed in your garden.
