...and Shaft Drive...

There is almost a feeling of selective coloring with the reflection caught in the windows of the carriage. I especially like the second image with the sense of the rusted engine seemingly evaporating in the sunlight.

Good to see imaginative train-related work.

More great shots Paul - I especially admire the final one - good camera angle and composition.

Yes, I think you are a cool dude and you are also taking great metal shots from these wheeled creatures to use in other images. I am not sure, is that against the law. hmmm unless you share them !! In the last image here, your blend really gives a sense of power to this old Train. Great image.

That is a great train composition in the comment section... even standing still that engine 4012 is going full throttle under a very ominous looking sky which really suits the composition.

Love that bright graffiti reflected on the train windows, all the rust, and the smoky sky in the last one.

The last image is awesome. You're truly mastering your technique! The texture layer really gives this comp a nice look.

For you train fanatics, (you know who you are ;-)
This is number 12 of the twenty five Union Pacific "Big Boy" locomotives.

The ominous sky is especially apropos as this was designed to haul enormous loads up steep
grades at eighty miles per hour, un-assisted, in preparation for World War ll.
They did a great job and averaged more than a million miles each.

Some of the "facts" are up to question, but check out the sounds !

I just went to http://www.railpictures.net/ to see what other pictures I could find of engine 4012 and there were quite a few but yours blows them all away in my mind. The texturing and clouds really makes the last image in the comment section.
