Another take as well.

These are only Winter visitors from Scandinavia, but seem to be enjoying there time here

You were ready for him/her. Great background and the yellow eye really pops. Also an
excellent border at the bottom.

I like both of your captures of the owl with each owl standing out strongly in the image set against the background. I particularly like the second image with both yellow eyes of the owl being visible to the viewer. A black background works well with both pictures.

Excellent! Very unique.

The OP is a Great Image, Les !! I would like to make a suggestion that you clone out that one dark grass in the LLC that angles in the opposite direction. In time I think that would become an issue, as it is counter to everything else in the image ?

Another from today

The two classic shots (especially #3) are fine. The OP is awesome. I
would explore some cropping options, particularly from the top.

The last shot is the best in my mind of the three (though I would be proud to have taken any of these photographs) with the yellow eyes of the owl showing up so clearly with the contrast between the owl and the diffused feel of the background bringing a 3D feel to the image.

Great to see it in flight. It looks very small, and a little odd with its round white face, almost bigger than the rest of it.

Love # 3, but the inflight shot is also special.

Quite a bit of PS work to rescue this one from barbed wire etc

Each one is a wonderful shot. Third is my favorite. To me, it begs to be a vertical.

All are outstanding but #3 is truly exceptional. I like the warm tones of the owl in contrast
with the cool blue background. My vote is to leave it as is (not vertical). The extra space isn't
wasted in this composition.
