Maybe the rider mistimed the jump but you were at the right spot at the right time to get a wonderful action shot. The detail, the contrast between the rider and the horse and the background and the sense of flow created by the horse and rider that carries the eyes of the viewer from left to right all work to create a striking image of the race.

INteresting treatment - like it came from a magazine. Great Shot ! There is some noticable whiting between the legs & neck area- must be careful Les !! BUt I LIke it
