I was walking down an escalator that wasn't working when I took this shadowy image of the rises and it appealed to me.

A series of pictures that started off as a search for some natural abstracts and ended up as a shadow composition.

Wow, Jan. Nice work! That's a real "nothing" shot--has visual appeal even if you don't know what it is.

OP is really appealing although I don't like the triangle in the upper right. I think it looks really
nice cropped from the top to a little above the triangle.

Nice collections of abstracts. I like the colors in the OP.

Delightful abstracts coming from you, Jan... :)
Excellent compositions with interesting colors and lights.
The shadows interplay is even more appealing.

Thank you so much.

nice photos, simple and cool! The 1st photo give me a thought of a vinyl disc :) I like the constrast between highlight and shadow, between colours: red, yellow and cyan (I think) in that photo.

Beautiful color in the OP, I like the motion in it a lot
I review it many times I think it would be better without the up right corner. I don't know but it distracted me.

You have such an eye for making the ordinary extraordinary and so very interesting. Your work never ceases to amaze me. I'm absolutely crazy about that warm color in the OP! The second picture is quite abstract and a bit of an optical illusion IMO. At first I'm looking at a steel beam but then I see shadows of wine bottles. The third pic works well for me because it's my initials ;o) and the last post is a bunch of fun for the eyes (another great abstract). Well done Jan!

The OP is just excellent, I keep going back to look at it over and over, it's got movement and color and texture and a bit of mystery, love it!

You're having too much fun.

Nice work.

Did you try a square crop on the OP, to loose the green? Might work too, but then I'm "suspect" because I like square pictures... OP makes a great abstract, love the gradation of "flames" in the dark, from deep red to bright yellow! Also like very much the S shadows. Find them humorous, as if some little aliens were sneaking around, quietly...
